Movie Clip Monday

Welcome to the life of the Giswald's...
This classic was introduced to me last year for the first time and I was seriously sad that I missed out on such a fun movie for so long. So give it a try and let me know what you think.

happy halloween

Happy Halloween.
We officially have 56 days and only 1 more holiday until Christmas. I'm thinking it's time to start putting subtle Christmas decorations up. You know, some Christmas lights outside. When do you start decorating?

How come they don't make cartoons like this anymore?
I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it goes down Christmas Eve night :)

seasons

It's snowing! Well, let me rephrase that. It's snowing in some parts of the world. I won't bore you with the details but the one thing I lack in life? Seasons.
I feel like seasons are such an important aspect of life. Leaving one season and entering another you tend to reflect and look back on that phase of your life. Think about what you liked, what you didn't, your accomplishments and maybe a few things you could change or work on harder. So I find myself in this constant state of summer, with no point to stop me and say, "Look. Look where you are in life. Look how you've grown." And I miss it.

go to sleep darlings

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says 'Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.'" - Lewis Carroll

"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" -Clarence

lights

Thinking about those twinkly lights.
And wondering... when is too soon to put them up? Because I would kind of love to drape my entire house in them. For the last couple years we've strictly used the white lights but this year I think it's time to branch out to the colored lights.
They just scream happy-carefree. What do you prefer?
